In the Mexican periphery, the bus system is unregulated. Peseros stop at random places, creating daily inconvenience for people and chaos on the streets. Yet, a design solution was hiding in plain sight: rotulismo. A vibrant, hand-painted heritage that serves as the neighborhood's true visual guide clearly indicating everyday places and services.

The idea is repurposing rotulismo as a design system that turns informal stops into real bus stops by giving locals the tools to build their own transit network, using their own cultural design. Artists upload their work to Affinity Designer to convert it into ready-to-use Canva templates.
